ROCK YOURSELF TO SLEEP AND WARPED TOUR
I JUST TYPED THIS TODAY SO I DONT REALLY REMEMBER ALL THE DETAILS ABOUT THESE
AND THIS IS REALLY SCATTERBRAINED AND DOESN'T MAKE SENSE BUT OH WELL

Enjoy :)

So June 18 my friend and I (as well as both our moms) went to Rock Yourself To Sleep over at Warehouse Live. Actually the studio of Warehouse Live or something like that. Let me tell you, I LOVE THE STUDIO. It’s a small room with couches in the back and there’s no barricade so you’re right in front of the stage and ITS SO GREAT. (That’s also where An Evening With The Maine is in August, but I’ll get to that later). So we walked in and there was literally like 20 people there, which was surprising but was pretty awesome at the same time. THEN THE MOST AMAZING THING HAPPENED. So we were about to go get some merch when I noticed NATE FLYNN from Sing it Loud talking to some fans about 10 feet in front of us. Kelsey (my friend) and I flipped out since we think Nate is totally awesome. So we went up to him and wanted pictures. So Kelsey took a picture with him and then I went up to take a picture. Before I could take a picture, however, he turned to me and said, “Hey have I met you guys before cause y’all seem really familiar” or something like that. So I FREAKED out (internally of course) and said “Yeah you have” and I looked over and Kelsey had the BIGGEST smile on her face and I’m sure I did too oh it was great. So he asked us our names yadda yadda asked if we had their CD yet yadda yadda and took a picture with me.Then I got some merch, watched some bands, and met some bands as well.
The highlight of the night was definitely having Nate Flynn remember who we were :) I ended up meeting all of SIL and TFT, as well as Dave from EA, Luis from TSH, and Sound the City, which was the opening band that day. Another awesome band member meeting experience was meeting CHRIS KAMRADA from There For Tomorrow. The concert had been over for about 10 minutes and we had met everyone from TFT but Chris. My mom told us it was time to go, but I begged her to let us have 10 more minutes in hopes that I could meet him. So she let us and we went down and looked around but couldn’t find him. I turned to Kelsey and said, “Just watch that like right when we turn around the doors gonna open and he’s gonna walk out” and, of course, right when I said that, Chris came walking out from the dressing rooms. I swear, I think I have some kind of special band boy summoning power or something ahah. Not really. So then we got pictures with him and everyone was happy. :)

THEN, on July 2 Kelsey, my mom, and I went to Warped Tour! Of course, Hurricane Alex decided to unleash its fury on Houston that day so mom didn’t let us leave the house til 4:30ish, which resulted in us getting there around 5:45 or something ridiculous like that since we kept stopping and mom kept stalling for time. (while we were waiting to leave for Warped, Kelsey and I had a photoshoot it was really quite fun). So right when we got there we went searching for the AP tent which was where The Summer Set were going to have their signing. Of course, we failed to find it so I had to go to The Summer Set’s merch tent and ask them where the AP tent we located ahaha. We eventually found it and I met them :) John and Josh both shook my hand and introduced themselves it was really sweet. Then Brian signed my magazine thing and looks at me and says, “It’s raining”, to which Jess then said “Brian likes to state the obvious” ahaha :D Then Jess asked if I was having a good day and asked if I was staying for their set and I was like OF COURSE! and she smiled. Stephen didn’t really say anything but that’s okay. :)
Then Kelsey and I went scoping the merch tents with my mom trailing behind us. We were searching for the I See Stars tent but couldn’t find it. Then we saw it off to the side away from all the other tents which was really weird but whatever. We also saw Artist vs. Poet, Breathe Carolina, Never Shout Never, The Summer Set, and Bring Me The Horizon (well, one song of BMTH, then my mom made us leave ahahha). Kelsey and I also met AVP and got a picture with them, and I saw Brian Dales from The Summer Set being swarmed by girls after their set so we followed and I got a picture with him. Jonny Craig from Emarosa walked right past us and I was so tempted to ask for a picture but chickened out :(
Warped Tour was still fun this year, but not nearly as fun as the past years to me for some reason. Maybe it was because we were there for such a short time and it was raining?
OH and as we were leaving we met JOSH AND TRAVY FROM SWING THE COAST ALSDKJGAKGKAJHSD That was definitely one of the highlights of my day :D

Oh I also went to Bamboozle Roadshow on May 28 but now my hands hurt so I dont really want to type it out right now ahaha

tl;dr version: i go to lots of concerts and I love every single second of them :)

Post numero uno

Hey everyone!

So I know that I said that I wasn't going to post again until tomorrow but I'm just so excited about this that I decided to do it now!

I decided that this blog is going to be about music.
So, to get an idea of what kind of music I like, here's links to some of my favorite songs and/or music videos at the moment (in no particular order):

Well there we go. Just a few of my favorites.
As you can see, my taste in music is pretty diverse, so hopefully there's a little bit for everyone on here.
See you next time! :)

Here we go!

Hello whoever happens to stumble upon this blog!

Upon the request of my friend Sara, I have decided to start a blog.
I've always wanted to start one of these, but either:
a) been too lazy to start one
b) been too lazy to keep up with it
c) been too busy listening to music to even remember that I had one

So that's when Sara told me that I could blog about music! About different bands I like, different songs, etc.

I'm going to give this a shot.
Most likely it'll end up like all my other attempts, but I enjoy talking about music, so maybe I could actually keep this up!

I just went to Warped Tour yesterday (for those of you who didn't hear, Houston was slammed by Hurricane Alex so it was pouring down rain the whole time. I didn't even go til 5:30 and got soaked) so my mind is kind of jumbled.
I'll make my first post tomorrow :)
